Sell Tickets Online

If you’re still selling tickets the old fashioned way, this is the first step you need to take to increase the profitability of your holiday recital. It’s definitely worth your while to invest in some online ticketing software. Not only is it easier for you to sell tickets online than in person, but your guests will also appreciate the convenience that online ticket sales have to offer.

Depending on your customer base, you may still choose to provide in-person and over the phone ticket sales options. Not everyone prefers to make online purchases. But adding an online alternative is a must if you want your studio to stay up-to-date and reach future generations.

Include Add-On Items Patrons can Purchase Along With Recital Tickets

If you do much holiday shopping online, you may have noticed that savvy vendors will often suggest other products for you to purchase at some point during your online transaction. For example, if you like to knit and you’re purchasing some knitting needles, the merchant will pop up an ad for several different colors and styles of yarn along with a phrase like, “these items are often purchased together.” This is a brilliant marketing tool which you can take advantage of for increasing your holiday recital’s profit-generating potential.

You can offer a variety of different types of merchandise to family members who are purchasing your holiday recital tickets. For example:

You can suggest a floral bouquet that parents can purchase for their dance students. Many of them choose to buy flowers from somewhere anyway, so why not provide a quick and easy way for them to purchase them from your chosen vendor?

You can offer customizable dance studio T-shirts. Recital time is a great time to push your studio’s merchandise as parents and grandparents are likely to be more enthusiastic about these products as the excitement for the show builds.

Your families will likely appreciate an opportunity to purchase all of these items conveniently online, all at once, and in advance. It saves them time and allows them to make the most out of their purchase. Since add-on items will also generate more revenue for you, it’s a win-win situation!
